Bone China Clay is used to achieve maximum fineness, translucency and delicacy, and is bisque fired to full vitrification at 1265 degrees centigrade in the kiln. Glaze is applied where necessary and fired again. Layers of ceramic colour and sometimes gold are applied and again fired.
Kyneton Fine China is produced in very limited quantities, sometimes as limited editions, sometimes individual pieces. Mixed media pieces are produced using hand made bone china flowers, resin-ceramic bases and on some pieces, metal stems.
